That is AWESOME news that the baby is still there!!! I hope the mass is nothing and it will go away on its own and stop causing your friend unneeded stress! As for not seeing it, maybe it just appeared!
They didnt say anything about her levels, and gave her no answers...
now shes just freaked about the mass.....shes had several biopsy done in the past- because they had found cancerous cells... so ofcourse she is thinking the worst...

COuld she have been pregnant with twins and one m/c?

Thats what I was thinking...
But I went with her to the 1st sono... and we only heard one heartbeat, saw one sack.... but anything is possible...

Glad to hear the baby's still there!
Maybe it's a fibroid? They can get big and fill with blood very quickly during pregnancy.
It really bothers me when medical staff (esp docs) don't explain their thought process. We often forget that people are scared and a little explaination goes a long way...

My friend was pregnant with twins and she m/c one of them and had a good amount of bleeding. They didn't see it on the sono because it was behind the viable baby. She just started bleeding one night. The baby she m/c never had a heartbeat...so maybe that is it???

That is what happened to my SIL early on and it did dissolve. That is why she was so freaked about the bleeding last week but she is fine and they can't see a cause.

As far as the biopsys.... all I know is that everytime she has a pap- it comes back abnormal, so they do a biopsy and find cancerous cells....
I think I hate her Dr. She saw HER dr. at the hospital last night.... he checked her, told her about the mass and that was it... sent her home, still bleeding (alot). He told her to call the office in the morning, and set up an apt. (What is he gonna do for her in the office-that he couldnt do in the hospital?)
Then she calls 1st thing this morning, and she tells the recepetionist the story- and she says... "Yea- well I dont know why he told you that- I really dont think we could fit you in... we'll have to call you later.."  
She then calls me crying- she doesnt know whats wrong with her, the baby, if she is bleeding to death (she is a little dramatic- but hey- she can be she's scared)
I told her to call back and ask to speak to a DR or nurse.... and explain everything, and if they still dont give a sh!t- to go back to the ER, and find a new Dr.
So sure enough she called, and spoke to a nurse.... who magically found room for her Her apt. is @ 12:30....
She is really freaked out about all the bleeding... I just feel so bad for her.... this whole situation has been such an emotional rollercoaster- and now this....

I've heard of that before, but later in PG (called abruptio placenta), and it turning out well.
Are they also watching to make sure she's not losing too much blood and is she on bedrest? I'm not sure if that's what they do, I'm just curious...
I hope she's OK!
